Reston Business Owner Appointed to FCEDA Commission
Fairfax County, Virginia, April 18, 2000 Reston business owner Ann B. Rodriguez has been appointed to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) Commission by the county's Board of Supervisors. She replaces Patricia Woolsey, who served on the FCEDA Commission for 12 years before resigning in February.
Rodriguez is owner and president of Corporate Products, a promotional advertising company founded in 1988 that provides consulting, design and production services. She served as president of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce in (1995-96) and currently is a member of the chamber's board of directors. She hosts Business Focus, a monthly television program on local business issues, which is produced by Comcast Communications and seen on cable Channel 8 in Reston and cable Channel 10 in Fairfax County.
Rodriguez also has been active in community affairs. She serves on the board of the Greater Reston Arts Center and chairs the Membership Committee, and is a member of the Professional Technical Studies Advisory Committee to the Fairfax County School Board. She was executive secretary of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board from 1996 to 1999, and is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Fairfax Inc. She also is active in Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
Rodriguez graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in advertising. She has lived in Reston since 1975 and has one son, Paco.
