Meetings to help entrepreneurs, firms learn how to get started
Fairfax County, Virginia, February 13, 2001 The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) is launching free, twice-monthly information sessions for new businesses or individuals who are interested in starting a business in the county.
Presentations will cover concerns such as locating office space, finding venture capital or other sources of funding, local and state taxes, state business incentives, issues facing start-up companies, and services of the FCEDA.
The sessions will be held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the FCEDA offices at 8300 Boone Boulevard, Suite 450, Vienna, VA 22182 (in Tysons Corner). The first session will be February 14, with others following on February 28, March 14 and 28, April 11 and 25, May 9 and 23, and June 13 and 27.
"Starting a business anywhere is complicated, and we see these sessions as another service that we can offer those who are building Fairfax County's economy," said Gerald L. Gordon, President of the FCEDA.
Those interested in attending a session and suggesting a topic should e-mail jvolk@fceda.org. Please include your name, company name, address, phone number and e-mail address. For more information, call Jennifer Volk at 703-790-0600.
