IMC's Shenoy, Ronson's Johnson, ExxonMobil's Davis appointed to Fairfax County EDA Commission
Verizon's Doyle selected commission chairman
Fairfax County, Virginia, July 16, 2002 The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has appointed three prominent business leaders to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority Commission: Sudhakar V. Shenoy, founder, chairman and CEO of McLean-based Information Management Consultants Inc.; Ronald Johnson, founder, chairman and CEO of Richmond Highway-based Ronson Communication and Information Systems Inc., and Steven L. Davis, vice president of Downstream Business Services, Exxon Mobil Corporation.
In addition, the FCEDA Commission selected Harry N. Doyle, area manager for Verizon and a long-time member of the commission, to be chairman.
Shenoy has served as chairman of the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology and vice chairman of the Northern Virginia Technology Council. He won the Greater Washington High Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1998, and was recognized as the Indian Entrepreneur of the Year in 1996. He also is a member of the Board of Visitors of George Mason University in Fairfax and chaired the Fairfax-Falls Church United Way campaign in 2000.
Johnson has been appointed by four Virginia governors to groups such as the Southern Technology Council and the Highway and Transportation Advisory Board. He is rector of the Board of Visitors of Virginia State University. He also has served on the Virginia NAACP Economic Development Committee. He is a member of the Wall Street Project Media and Telecommunications Advisory Board, the Emerging Business Forum Advisory Board, and the Virginia Telecommunications Association.
Davis served as controller of Mobil Corporation and Mobil Oil Corporation prior to the company's merger with Exxon. Before joining Mobil in 1998, he worked for Chevron Corporation for 23 years. Davis is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, serves on the Executive Committee of the National Capital Area Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is a member of the advisory board to George Mason University's School of Management and is active in several other community and educational organizations in this area.
Doyle has been a member of the FCEDA Commission since 1991, and previously served as treasurer of the commission. He is a director of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Community College Foundation and the Arts Council of Fairfax County, and has been active in many other civic and community organizations around northern Virginia.
