13 Fairfax County firms make Inc. 500 list
of fastest growing U.S. companies
Washington, D.C., region tops other metro areas with 41 ranked companies
Fairfax County, Virginia, Oct. 8, 2003—Thirteen Fairfax County companies—most in information technology fields—are on Inc. magazine’s 2003 list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country. The Fairfax companies are among 41 from the Washington, D.C., region, which had more ranked companies than any other U.S. metropolitan area.
Inc. bases its rankings on revenue growth over five years. The magazine published the rankings in a special fall issue that will be on newsstands October 14.
“The list shows again that Fairfax County is a great place to start and build a business of any kind,” said Gerald L. Gordon, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.
