“India has become an absolutely vital market for Fairfax County. We are the first U.S. county to open a marketing office in Bangalore because we want Indian companies that are considering expansion into the U.S. market to look at Fairfax County. In IT, biotech and other areas, their companies and people are a perfect match for us,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the FCEDA. “We are honored to be affiliated with the IITs. Their graduates are amongst the world’s leaders in every technology sector.”
Other sponsors include Headstrong, Fortune 500 financial services giant Capital One Financial Corp., and technology company Information Management Consultants Inc. All three are based in Fairfax County.
The 2005 Global IIT Conference will take place May 20-22 at the Bethesda North Marriot Hotel and Conference Center in Bethesda, Md. More information in the conference is available at www.iit2005.org.
