Fairfax County EDA to kick off IIT2005 Conference With Indian-Israeli Academic Agreement
Fairfax County , Va. , May 17, 2005 – On May 20, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) will kick off the IIT2005 Conference for graduates of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) with the signing of a collaboration agreement (called the Fairfax County Educational Accords) between IIT-Kharagpur and Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. The agreement outlines an exchange and collaboration of research, faculty and students between the two institutions.
As two of the fastest growing forces in the worldwide technology community, Indian and Israeli businesses will benefit greatly from the signing of the exchange and collaboration agreement between these two preeminent technology institutes.
The IIT2005 Conference is for graduates of the IIT, which has seven campuses in India. It features participants from across North America, India and the other parts of the world. Attendees include a large number of IIT alumni, luminaries from the industry and academia, and a variety of organizations. The FCEDA is a conference sponsor. More information is at www.iit2005.org.
