Fairfax County EDA sponsors Oct. 21 Virginia/Philippines IT business forum
Session will build commercial connections and relationships
Fairfax County, Virginia USA, October 11, 2005 – The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) is sponsoring "E-Services Philippines Goes to Virginia," and ICT business forum on Oct 21, Friday in Washington, D.C., that will detail business possibilities between Philippine information technology and telecommunications companies and their counterparts in Virginia.
The forum will begin at 07:30 am at the Embassy of the Philippines, 1600 Massachusetts Avenue NW 20036. It will feature a presentation on the Philippine IT and telecom industries and eleven company presentations engaged in software development (Software Ventures International, Leverage Systems Technologies, Pointwest Technologies), diversified business process outsourcing (Transprocure, Medscribe, Sencor, Eximius BPO, Virtual Assistants Philippines) and IT parks and real estate companies (Berthaphil Business Park, Comfac Global Group). One-on-one business meetings are possible after the forum.
In addition to the FCEDA, other sponsors are the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Information Technology Association of America.
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (www.FairfaxCountyEDA.org), which has been recognized by Site Selection magazine as one of the top economic development groups, promotes Fairfax County as a business and technology center. The FCEDA assists businesses by identifying possible sites and facilities, and provides demographic and economic statistics. The FCEDA’s Capital Attraction Program links technology entrepreneurs with potential investors, and another program supports the growth of small and minority-owned companies.
