34 Fairfax County companies dominate
“Virginia Technology Fast 50” list

Rankings evaluate fastest-growing IT firms  

Fairfax County, Virginia USA, October 13, 2005 – Fairfax County companies once again dominated the annual Deloitte & Touche Virginia Technology Fast 50 Rankings, securing seven of the top 10 ranks and 34 of the top ranks based on revenue growth from 2000 to 2004. iDirect Technologies of Herndon, Virginia, topped the list with 14,538 percent revenue growth over the five-year period.

“The rankings speak volumes about Fairfax County’s leadership as the technology center of Virginia,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. “These growing companies are adding high-value, high-salary jobs for our residents, which in turn improves the quality of life here.”
