OPTIMUS relocates HQ to Fairfax County,
adds 234 jobs to the county economy
IT company founded by award-winning minority entrepreneur makes
$1.15 million investment in new location, FCEDA says
Fairfax County, Virginia USA, September 6, 2005 – OPTIMUS Corporation, which provides information technology services to government agencies, will invest $1.15 million to move its headquarters to Fairfax County from Montgomery County, Md. The project brings 234 new jobs to the local economy. The company leased 17,900 square feet of office space at 7926 Jones Branch Drive in the Tysons Corner area of Fairfax County, which is minutes away from Washington, D.C.

Our new location, in one of the nation’s most thriving counties, will enable us to better serve our customers while building the foundation for our next phase of growth.”
Mr. Adolphe was the 2002 Maryland High-Tech Council's Entrepreneur of the Year. Other awards include the National Society for Black Engineer's Golden Torch Award and the National Council for Minorities in Business Entrepreneur of the Year. He was featured in an exhibit at the National Inventor's Hall of Fame dedicated to women and minority inventors. Mr. Adolphe also is featured in a PBS documentary, "Voices of Vision." He is on the board of directors of NACME (National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering.

The FCEDA worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to smooth the relocation of OPTIMUS (www.optimuscorp.com) to Virginia. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will support the project with training assistance through its Workforce Services Program.
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (www.FairfaxCountyEDA.org), which has been recognized by Site Selection magazine as one of the top economic development groups, promotes Fairfax County as a business and technology center. The FCEDA assists businesses by identifying possible sites and facilities, and provides demographic and economic statistics. The FCEDA’s Capital Attraction Program links technology entrepreneurs with potential investors, and another program supports the growth of small and minority-owned companies. The FCEDA maintains overseas offices in Bangalore, Frankfurt, London, Seoul and Tel Aviv.
