Fairfax County , Virginia , March 27, 2006 - The 2005 Annual Report from the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) was presented today to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The report highlights the activities of the FCEDA during 2005. Prominent in the report is the number of businesses the FCEDA worked with during the year. More than 130 companies announced plans to add 10,452 jobs to the county’s economy. These companies will lease 1.3 million square feet of office space.
FCEDA Commission Chairman, Steven L. Davis, presented the report to the board. Davis is the assistant controller for Corporate Accounting Services at Exxon Mobil Corporation, one of county’s more notable employers.
