Fairfax County EDA sponsors symposium for Canadian companies
FCEDA joins with the Quebec Government to promote federal contracting opportunities
Fairfax County , Virginia USA, May 24, 2006 - Representatives from seven Canadian defense companies will take part in an afternoon symposium today on “Facilitating Partnerships for Defense and Homeland Security Companies.” Six American companies will join their Canadian counterparts to discuss opportunities in the U.S. federal markets and how Canadian companies can win business with the federal government. An evening reception will follow at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.
The participating Canadian companies are ABB (www.abb.com), a company specializing in infrared remote sensing; Comlab Telecommunications (www.comlab.com), which develops telecommunications equipment; Creaform (www.creaform3d.com), a leader in 3D digital technology; Lyrtech (www.lyrtech.com), a digital signal processing firm; Oerlikon Contraves (www.oerlikon.ca), which specializes in battlefield planning; Telops (www.telops.ca), a firm specializing in optronics; and XEOS Imaging (www.xesimaging.com), an aerial imagery company.
U.S. companies taking part in the event are technology firms ACG (www.acgweb.net), Anteon International (www.anteon.com), CACI International Inc. (www.caci.com), ICx Technologies (www.icxt.com), NCI (www.nciinc.com) and Trust Digital (www.trustdigital.com).

Joining the FCEDA in sponsoring the event are Quebec Government House (www.quebecusa.org), the Québec Government's principal office in the United States, and Technopole Defence & Security (www.technopole.ca), a nonprofit organization that works to increase the level of innovation in Canadian defense and security by facilitating interactions between members.
