Latest research at Virginia Tech showcased to Fairfax County business community
FCEDA sponsors event with Virginia Tech College of Engineering
Fairfax County, Virginia USA, February 26, 2007 – Cutting-edge research from Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering will be spotlighted March 2, 2007, at a special event sponsored by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). The “Showcase of Current Research” will bring together technology company representatives and Virginia Tech professors who will be on hand to demonstrate their latest research developments. Members of the business and technology communities are invited to attend.
Research areas included in the exhibit are autonomous systems, wireless human computer interaction, information systems, information technology and energy and environment. Registration for the showcase is at noon and the program begins at 12:30 with remarks by Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the FCEDA and Richard Benson, dean of the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. The event will be held at the Fairfax County Government Center’s Conference Center ( 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax). There is no cost to attend but registration is required (703-790-0600 or bcarpenter@fceda.org).
