Michael Lewis, William Soza reappointed to the
Fairfax County
EDA Commission
Fairfax County , Virginia , July 6,
2007 – The Fairfax
County Board of Supervisors reappointed Michael Lewis and William
Soza to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA)
Commission. The four-year terms expire in July 2011. The Board
of Supervisors appoints seven members of the business community
to oversee the work of the FCEDA, which promotes Fairfax County
as a business location.
Will Soza has been a member of the FCEDA Commission since
2000. He is chairman of Fairfax County-based Security One Bank,
and is a member of the George Mason University Board of Visitors.
He was principal of Soza Associates, CPAs, and previously was
chairman and CEO of Soza & Co., Ltd., an information technology
and consulting company, which he began in 1969 as an accounting
firm. He is a former trustee of the George Mason University
Foundation. He was named the 1998 Hispanic Business Man of
the Year by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
and received the 2007 Excellence in Leadership & Community
Service Award from the Northern Virginia Urban League. He lives
in McLean.
Mike Lewis has been a member of the FCEDA Commission since
2004. He is president of Liberty Capitol, a Fairfax County-based
finance and managing consulting firm that operates in the disciplines
of aerospace, defense, and counter-terrorism for U.S. and international
companies in areas of marketing, business development, and
access to capital. Previously he served as chief enterprise
officer for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
He is a past chairman of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce
and has chaired its NOVABizPAC. He is on the board of the Virginia
Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of trustees for
the University of Virginia Athletics Foundation. He is a member
of the Tysons Corner Land Use Task Force, and he lives in Tysons
Corner.

and guidance of senior executives such as Will Soza and Mike
Lewis represent an extraordinary contribution to the community,” said
Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the FCEDA.
Business growth helps Fairfax County, just outside Washington,
D.C., fund public services such as a top-ranked public school
system that improve the quality of life. Fairfax County will
host the 2007 National Conference on the Creative Economy (www.creativeeconomies.org)
in October.
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (www.FairfaxCountyEDA.org)
promotes Fairfax County as a business and technology center.
The FCEDA maintains marketing offices in Silicon Valley, Bangalore,
Frankfurt, London, Seoul and Tel Aviv.
