Three Companies Expand in Fairfax County During March
Fairfax County, Virginia, April 24, 1998 During the month of March, three corporations expanded their operations in Fairfax County, according to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). As a result of the announcements, 365 new jobs will be added to the County's economy. Typically, it is assumed that every new job added to the workforce spins off two to three jobs in the secondary economy. The expansions for the month are highlighted below:

These corporate expansions indicate the continuing strength of the Fairfax County economy. Many of these companies are technology-based and are finding what they need in Fairfax County a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, access to domestic and international markets through Washington Dulles International Airport, proximity to their employees and an excellent quality of life.
