949 New Jobs Added in Fairfax County During October and November
Fairfax County, Virginia, December 14, 1999 In October and November, 12 corporations expanded or relocated operations in Fairfax County, adding 949 new jobs to the economy, according to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). Typically, every new job added spins off two to three jobs in the secondary economy.

These corporate expansions and relocations indicate the continuing strength of the Fairfax County economy. Many of these companies are technology-based and are finding what they need in Fairfax County a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, access to domestic and international markets through Washington Dulles International Airport, a well-educated workforce, and an excellent quality of life.
