143 New Jobs Added in Fairfax County During December and January
Fairfax County, Virginia, February 22, 1999 In December and January, five corporations expanded or relocated operations in Fairfax County adding 143 new jobs to the economy, according to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). Typically, every new job added spins off two to three jobs in the secondary economy.

These corporate expansions and relocations indicate the continuing strength of the Fairfax County economy. Many of these companies are technology-based and are finding what they need in Fairfax County a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, access to domestic and international markets through Washington Dulles International Airport, proximity to their employees and an excellent quality of life.
