535 New Jobs Added in Fairfax County During August and September
Fairfax County, Virginia, October 12, 1999 In August and September six corporations expanded or relocated operations in Fairfax County adding 535 new jobs to the economy, according to the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). Typically, every new job added spins off two to three jobs in the secondary economy.

These corporate expansions and relocations indicate the continuing strength of the Fairfax County economy. Many of these companies are technology-based and are finding what they need in Fairfax County a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, access to domestic and international markets through Washington Dulles International Airport, a well educated workforce, and an excellent quality of life.
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority provides services and information designed to promote Fairfax County as a business location for domestic and international companies and organizations.
