The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority operates under the direction of a seven-member board comprised of business people appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The Board ensures that the business community is well represented in the policy-making functions of the FCEDA. The Board meets monthly at FCEDA headquarters in Tysons Corner.

Steven L. Davis, Chairman Mr. Davis is president and CEO of the DGS Consulting Group, which manages a portfolio of equity businesses, investments in new ventures, and financial management support to small businesses. He has 34 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently as a senior executive with Exxon Mobil Corporation. After the merger of Exxon and Mobil in 1999, he held the positions of Vice President-Downstream Business Services and Assistant Corporate Controller. He joined Mobil Corporation as Corporate Controller in 1998 after a 23-year career at Chevron Corporation. He has led significant new business development activities in South America, Southeast Asia, China, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Mr. Davis has written several articles for books and publications on financial operations, system implementations and business value networks. Mr. Davis holds a bachelor of science degree in economics from Auburn University. He attended several universities for post-graduate studies and executive education programs. In addition to his service on the FCEDA Commission, he chairs the Advisory Board for the George Mason University School of Management, serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Virginia Business Council. |

Michael Lewis, Vice Chairman, Treasurer Mr. Lewis is a past chairman of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and has chaired its NOVABizPAC. He is on the board of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of trustees for the University of Virginia Athletics Foundation. He was a member of the Tysons Corner Land Use Task Force. |

Catherine Lange, Assistant Secretary Ms. Lange serves on a number of business and non-profit boards. In 2009 she was elected to the corporate board of Métier, a software and services company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. She also serves as a board member and Executive Committee member of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and is the co-chair of the Workforce Development Committee. She founded the chamber’s Women’s Business Council. She is a board member of the Northern Virginia Community Foundation and serves on the advisory board for Fairfax Futures. She is a co-founder and former president of the Angels Network, a charity focused on women helping others. Ms. Lange holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. She has lived in Fairfax County for more than 30 years. |

Mark Lowham Mr. Lowham is a member of the Board of Visitors of Fairfax-based George Mason University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Inova Foundation, the Medical Care for Children Partnership and the Executive Committee of CharityWorks. He chairs Inova Health System’s Life with Cancer program. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Wolf Trap Associates, the Harry Byrd School of Business at Shenandoah University and the YMCA of Greater Washington. He also is a former chairman of the Board of Trustees of Phillips Programs for Children and Families in Annandale. Mr. Lowham graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics in 1985, and received a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1989. He lives in McLean. |

Arthur E. (Bud) Morrissette IV Mr. Morrissette is a native of Washington, D.C. He graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Fairfax County, and continued his studies in business administration at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. He resides in Oakton and has three children. He has received several awards for his community involvement. He was named Citizen of the Year by the Times Community Newspapers; has received the Herb Hunter Citizen of the Year award from the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce; and was named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International. He serves in advisory and board of director capacities for several organizations including the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of Washington and George Mason University.. |
