EMERGENCY PURCHASE
PROCUREMENT OF CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY PERSONNEL SERVICES
The FAIRFAX COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (FCEDA) has determined that for the purchase of personnel recruitment services the FCEDA will utilize the Emergency Purchasing procedure. Manpower, Inc. has been selected as of March 17, 2008.
The FCEDA has used the company Manpower, which was formerly on the Fairfax County Government’s former contract, to provide temporary help. The County’s contract expired on Feb 28, 2008 and the following week the temporary person on board at the FCEDA left the firm. The County’s new vendor for temporary services forwarded applicants who did not meet the needs of the Economic Development Authority. Since Manpower has provided the professional support employees that FCEDA requires, it was decided to use the services of this company on emergency basis until the FCEDA issues an RFP for temporary services and selects a contractor.
