When was your company established? 1996

What is the origin of your company name? Evolve Technologies spawns from both concept and practicality. In concept, we believe that as technologies continually change, you need a provider who will continually Evolve to meet the times. In practicality, we considered several names, but having the right domain name was very important for us – and evolvetech.com was available!

Who owns your company? The company is owned by Dave Sobel, CEO.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office? We run our main, client facing operations and back office operations from our Fairfax location. Evolve Technologies is an information technology (IT) management firm. As such, we must regularly interface with our customers via the phone and the web. In addition, we provide network monitoring services and solutions for our clients and maintain those technology repositories onsite in our Fairfax offices.

Who are your primary customers? We serve the Metro Area’s nonprofit, small and medium sized business communities and faith-based organizations. We become the IT department for organizations that need the same technological resources as larger organizations.

What sets you apart from your competitors? Evolve is one of the best-connected organizations in the IT industry. We actively leverage our capabilities and relationships with other industry leaders to deliver high quality IT services for our customer base.

How many employees do you have and how many do you anticipate hiring in the next 12 months? We currently maintain an eight person staff, and hope to add three more positions this year.

Fairfax County is the best location to serve the entire Washington, D.C. metro area, providing easy access to the District, all of Northern Virginia and Maryland. Where do you see your business in five to 10 years? We look to be the Metro area's premier SMB focused IT organization.
