When was your company established? 
Hurricane Consulting, Inc. was established in 1995, and has been doing business as (DBA) HCI | integrated solutions since 2005.

What is the origin of your company name? 
The origin of the company name is only known by the previous owners whom are no longer with the company, however, given that the company is incorporated and established initially in Florida we believe the company name is reflective of Florida’s annual hurricane season.

The DBA accommodated the new President & CEO’s multi-faceted holistic approach to providing professional services to the federal government. The DBA company name of HCI | integrated solutions was established in 2005 to create a “new face” (company) within the government contracting marketplace without losing the value of the previous management team’s earnest efforts to penetrate this market.

Who owns your company? 
HCI | integrated solutions is a privately held company, jointly owned by the President & CEO, Armando Ygbuhay and the Chief Financial Officer, Curtis Roth; the majority shareholder being Armando Ygbuhay.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office?
Fairfax, Virginia serves as the Corporate Headquarters for HCI | integrated solutions which provides the strategic direction and oversight of the company’s operations worldwide.  Additionally, this office serves as the hub of traditional corporate operations such as Human Resources, Recruiting, Legal/Contracts, Marketing, and Business Operations. 

Who are your primary customers? 
The company’s primary customers are federal government agencies, with a specific focus on the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.

As a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), HCI | integrated solutions draws upon the unique values of serving our nation and translates those values into a customer oriented value-driven professional services solution provider. 

Our company’s guiding principle is, “Creating a deliberate path to success that embodies excellence of service with the utmost of integrity.” Additionally, understanding that excellence of service requires not only a commitment to its customers, it also requires a commitment to standards of excellence indicative of the company’s International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2000 and 9001:2008 certification, not found often in most small businesses. HCI | integrated solutions this year garnered a ranking of #15 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Fast 50 List of the fastest growing small businesses within the federal government marketplace a significant upward change from the 2008 ranking of #31.

How many employees do you have and how many do you anticipate hiring in the next 12 months? 
Currently, the company has over 230 employees located at 23 sites worldwide and the company expects in the next 12 months to hire an additional 80-120 employees.

What are the advantages of your Fairfax County location? 
The Fairfax County location provides several advantages to businesses within the Federal Government marketplace.  Certainly and most importantly, Fairfax County is within the DC Metro Area which is a close proximity to most Government Agencies.  Many other companies that do business with the federal government are also located within Fairfax County which provides an additional advantage in respect to business collaboration. 

In an industry where relationships matter, Fairfax County provides a business base for both government and corporate clients that allows a small business to nurture those relationships resulting in an economic benefit for all parties concerned.

With a revenue growth of over 126%, HCI | integrated solutions is well positioned to achieve a revenue growth of over $80 million within five to ten years.
