When was your company established? 
HireStrategy was established on January 1, 2000

What is the origin of your company name?
We provide a strategic approach to the hiring process, so we combined the two concepts to create the name HireStrategy.

Who owns your company?
Our executive management team co-founded and funded the company and owns it. Paul Villella, CEO; Chris Owen, vice president, recruitment services; and Hector Velez, vice president, business development.

What is your main business focus?
We focus in three industry domains, technology, finance and accounting, and sales, providing executive search, staff level search and contracting solutions for each of those domains.

Who are your primary customers?
Small, medium and large companies seeking to grow or upgrade their staff. We work with Fortune 500, mid-market and emerging companies throughout the greater Washington region.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We have a relationship-focused approach, we meet each person we do business with, each candidate and each hiring company. We value them over the long term and therefore manage our relationships with them beyond just today’s “transaction.”

Also, we have hired people from the industries they serve and those with a consultative approach, so they are able to understand the skills, experience and career desires of all of our customers.

We are in it for the long haul; we desire to be the number one staffing firm in the DC area, and to dominate the marketplace with our service, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

What are the advantages of your Fairfax County location?
We work with candidates and hiring companies throughout the greater Washington area, many of them located in Fairfax County. Our headquarters location is centrally located to most of our employee base, and with another satellite sales and recruiting office in the District, we find we can service the entire region. Where necessary, we travel to customer sites with relative ease.
