When was your company established? 
OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation was established in 1990.

What is the origin of your company name?
The company was originally named OMNISEC (for security) however, as the company quickly grew and the scope of work expanded, the name was changed to OMNIPLEX. “Plexus” is the Latin word for intertwining and OMNIPLEX the corporation became the umbrella entity for various security related business units.  More interesting is our logo in which the bird represents peace; the book is the Bible upon which our corporate principles are based; and the circle represents delivery of quality services worldwide.

OMNIPLEX is owned by Julien Patterson.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office?
The Fairfax Country Office of OMNIPLEX serves as our corporate headquarters and the operations center for several of our contracts.  In addition to corporate management and senior management of our business units, this is also the location for our Operations Managers in charge of the individual security contracts, our professional training staff, logistics managers, project administrative personnel, Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, Contract, and Business Development and Marketing.  Our physical security projects are generally operated at the client sites, but several of our investigative projects are operated managed and operated from our Fairfax County office in Chantilly.

Who are your primary customers?
OMNIPLEX has leveraged its full suite of service offerings, industry-best performance, and ethical standards to develop long-term relationships with several key clients that are notoriously difficult to penetrate, including classified IC Agencies, the DHS Customs & Border Protection (“CBP”), the DHS Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”), the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (“NGA”), the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”), BMW North America and many other federal agencies and Fortune 500, blue-chip commercial companies.

Operating in Fairfax County offers many benefits to a contractor such as OMNIPLEX. Chiefly, is its proximity to Washington, D.C.  While OMNIPLEX contract portfolio has a  nationwide footprint, a large portion of our customer contract support is within close proximity to the Washington Metropolitan area, making Fairfax County a convenient location for our Corporate Headquarters.  Fairfax County also provides a large staffing pool of highly qualified people to draw from when we need to staff a project or add additional staff at our headquarters location.

Where do you see your business in five to 10 years?
In the next five to ten years OMNIPLEX plans to continue serving our current customers at the high level of quality they have come to expect, while expanding our customer base in our core areas.  We also intend to expand into adjacent marketplaces to provide more diverse services for our clients.
