When was your company established?
SC&H Group was established in 1991.

What is the origin of your company name?
The original name of the firm was Stout, Causey & Horning, after the three founding partners. As the business grew and we expanded our scope of services, we re-branded the company as SC&H Group.

Who owns your company?
SC&H Group is partially owned by a select number of shareholders and partially owned by the firm’s employees under an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. This provides an equity incentive to all of our employees.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office?
SC&H Group is a highly acclaimed CPA and management consulting firm. Our Fairfax County office offers a full range of accounting and consulting services including: assurance, business performance management, business risk services, government contractor consulting services, internal audit, state and local tax, supplier assurance, tax and business advisory, and unclaimed property consulting.

Who are your primary customers?
We serve a broad range of clients – from small, closely-held organizations to Fortune 500 companies.

Where do you see your business in five to 10 years?
We plan to continue our aggressive recruiting efforts with a goal of employing 500 people by January 1, 2015. As we grow, we will expand our service offerings based on the market and on the needs of our clients.
