When was your company established? In 1995 and, as with many-a-startup, we were established in a dorm room!

What is the origin of your company name? Our name is purposely ambiguous but, fundamentally, we offer a slate of services that cater to businesses on the Internet. In fact, our original name was “ServInt Internet Services.”

Who owns your company? ServInt is owned by its founder and CEO, Reed J. Caldwell.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office? Our Virginia office is where our strategic focus is centered and is also home to our management team. While we maintain a technological presence in multiple locations, we do have a data center in McLean. We help companies grow by providing them with the tools they need for a seamless Web experience for their customers. We’re most famous for our support. The peace of mind provided by having an on-site staff of technicians 24/7 is really the crown jewel of our services.

Who are your primary customers? Anyone who does business on the Web! Whether you’re a Mom & Pop antique shop looking for a presence online, or an ambitious blogger looking to spread your message, ServInt’s products and services meet the needs of any and all entrepreneurs looking to hit the ground running and grow.

What sets you apart from your competitors? Most folks think Webhosting is little more than a collection of dumb boxes attached to dumb pipes, a commodity hardware with commodity service. Well, that’s not how we do business. We take the success of our clients personally and are committed to not just helping them grow, we’re here to help them thrive!

How many employees do you have and how many do you anticipate hiring in the next 12 months? We currently have just under 50 employees and will be adding 5-10 in the next 12 months.

What are the advantages of your Fairfax County location? Over 40% of world’s Internet traffic flows through Los Angeles, California and the Northern Virginia/D.C. Metro Area. Like a retail store on Rodeo Drive or Madison Avenue, we offer premium solutions on a premium network. For our core clientele, building a cheap data center in the desert just wouldn’t cut it, and the quality of the workforce in northern Virginia is second to none.

Where do you see your business in five to 10 years? The best thing about our industry is that it always improves and it always evolves. While our core technology may change over time, our mission to provide the best hosting experience for businesses all over the world will remain the same.
