When was your company established?
Surety, LLC was established in 1994.

What is the origin of your company name?
In our early stages of development we struggled with a naming convention that would closely map to the value of our product offering. Over time, we recognized a word that most closely aligned with our true, long-term value proposition to our customers, and based our direction and strategy on a word that means “being sure” or “being certain.” When it comes to the creation of any type of electronic or digital content, you must be able to lock-in the date/time of that creation in order to defend its authenticity and your “time of creation” if you ever want to claim and defend your “ownership” of it. Hence, the name “Surety, LLC.”

Surety is a privately held company, founded by leading Bellcore scientists.

Since our value proposition takes time to understand and fully take hold, we see our business growing gradually, as more organizations begin to realize the importance of locking down and protecting their critical electronic-based intellectual property or other valuable digital assets. In the future, we see folks doing more due diligence in securing their data, which they view as their critical intellectual property.
