When was your company established?
TechTeam was established in 1979 and went public in 1987.

What is the origin of your company name?
When it was founded in 1979, the company was known as Computer Trade Corporation. One of the company’s founders, Cal Fox, knew that it was not a name that fairly described our company publicly. Cal believed the company felt more like a team than a business, and since we were a technology company, the name emerged: TechTeam.

Who owns your company?
TechTeam Government Solutions is a subsidiary of TechTeam Global.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office?
TechTeam Government Solutions’ specific areas of expertise include:  network design and engineering, information assurance/cyber security, portal design and implementation, contact center and help desk operations, Web 2.0 services, predictive models, logistics and supply chain engineering, and strategy planning and development.

Who are your primary customers?
TechTeam Government Solutions works with Department of Defense, federal civilian, and state and local agencies.

Where do you see your business in five to 10 years?
TechTeam expects to more than double in size over the next 5 years. We will be continuing our expansion in the DoD and federal markets; as well as into the Asia/Pacific region and Latin America as part of our commitment to growth in those areas. We will also continue to progress in terms of advanced automation technology to drive down support costs.
TechTeam Government Solutions also foresees similar growth over the next 5 years, and our commitment to our government customers has enabled us to succeed in more contract awards and extensions. From help desk support to web services to e-mail support, TechTeam can provide cost-effective infrastructure and consulting expertise that will facilitate citizen access to government information.
