Fairfax County EDA refutes press report on Northrop Grumman requests

Fairfax County, Virginia USA, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 -- Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA), refuted claims in an April 27 Washington Post story that Northrop Grumman asked Fairfax County for country club memberships and reimbursement for relocation expenses as it moves its headquarters to Virginia.

“We have worked with this prospect for several months and have not received any requests for country club memberships or reimbursement for relocation expenses,” Gordon said. “All of the discussions we have had with this prospect have centered on matters of infrastructure interest to the company consistent with a community benefit.”
