  • Trustees at Merrifield-based Inova Health System approved a $23 million addition to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. The 21,000 square-foot facility will house the hospital's emergency department, which will be relocated from its current location. The old space will be reused for new services. Washington Business Journal reports.

  • Satellite services firm Intelsat will relocate its U.S. headquarters to Tysons Corner from Washington, D.C. The company will add more than 430 employees to the county economy when it arrives in mid-2014.
