The popular “Entrepreneurship 101: Starting a Business in Fairfax County” seminars will continue in 2012 with nine sessions scheduled throughout the year. Nearly 3,000 persons have attended the sessions since 2003 when the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) began hosting them.
Individuals interested in beginning a business in the county can attend one of the 2012 workshops: January 10, February 7, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, September 11, October 2 and November 6.
The FCEDA presents the workshops in partnership with the Virginia Department of Business Assistance and the U.S. Small Business Administration. The sessions provide an overview of start-up basics such as county licenses and permits; state workforce service and training programs; and federal financing and certification resources.
Networking and refreshments being at 7:30 a.m. and the program runs from 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at FCEDA headquarters, 8300 Boone Boulevard, Suite 450, Tysons Corner. The workshops are free, but require pre-registration. Click here for more information and to register.
