 The central business area of Annandale is situated around the intersection of Little River Turnpike (Rte. 236) and Columbia Pike (Rte. 244). Annandale is easily accessible from all directions with direct routes to the Capital Beltway (I-495) and Interstate 395 via Little River Turnpike.
The 1.8 million square feet of office space located in Annandale consists of primarily of office condominiums, low- and mid-rise buildings, and a few high-rise structures near the Capital Beltway at Little River Turnpike and Heritage Drive.
Retail development while focused in the heart of Annandale, is primarily scattered along Little River Turnpike from the Capital Beltway to Interstate 395 with lesser concentrations along Columbia Pike. All told Annandale is home to more than 2 million square feet of retail development.
Financial services, medical, retail and insurance services are the primary employers within Annandale. At the western end of Annandale is the main campus of the Northern Virginia Community College (pictured), one of the nation’s largest multi-campus two-year colleges.
