Office Market
Fairfax County is the largest suburban office market in the metropolitan Washington,
D.C. area and one of the 15 largest in the nation. It is also the largest office
market in the Commonwealth of Virginia with more than 106 million square
feet of space, ranging from single-story to high-rise buildings and everything
in between.
Our downtown, Tysons Corner contains nearly 25.7 million square feet of office space, or one-quarter of the county's total inventory.
The Dulles Toll Road Corridor is home to three large real estate markets: Dulles, Town of Herndon and Reston.
These markets provide a wide range of options, from the high-density, urban setting of the Reston Town Center, to traditional suburban office parks.
While the Tysons Corner/Dulles Toll Road markets account for more than 50 percent of all office space in the county, the remaining submarkets all afford their own location advantages and diversity of product.
Leasing Costs
The cost of leasing Class A office space in Fairfax County compares favorably to other areas in Washington, D.C., major suburban areas of the United States, and business markets worldwide.
