BAE Systems, Inc. to relocate headquarters and 350 jobs to Fairfax County

Fairfax County, Virginia – Following a regional search, BAE Systems Inc. announced October 8 it will move its headquarters to Fairfax County. The global defense, security and aerospace firm said it signed a lease for office space at 2941 Fairview Park Drive in the Falls Church area of the county, and will move about 350 employees to the space in 2020, furthering Fairfax County’s strengths in the aerospace and defense sector.

“BAE Systems has long been a major employer and corporate citizen in Fairfax County, an important part of our strong aerospace and defense industry sector, and we are proud to see that the company has chosen the Fairview Park area to consolidate its U.S. headquarters operation,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA). “The FCEDA has been honored to work with BAE Systems over the years to build its presence here, and we look forward to further opportunities to help the company grow and thrive within the county.”

BAE Systems, Inc. is an international defense, aerospace and security company that delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.

The company said it conducted a comprehensive assessment of its area facilities, the needs of its workforce and regional office space options before selecting the Fairview Park location. “This new facility has been chosen to consolidate some of our existing facilities to achieve greater efficiencies and offer enhanced opportunities for collaboration among our employees,” the company said in a release.
