OBXtek is an experienced and proven organization that provides IT engineering and support, software development, information security and testing, and project and program management services to federal government agencies.

When was it established?
OBXtek started as a marketing consulting venture in July 2008 and incorporated in April 2009 as OBXtek Inc., in order to provide federal government services.

What is the origin of your company/organization name? 
The “OBX” part of name comes from the Outer Banks beach area in North Carolina. The “tek” part of the name comes from the mission of OBXtek to provide technology that enhances knowledge.

Who owns your company/organization?
Bruce “Ed” Jesson is the majority owner of OBXtek.

What is the main business focus of your Fairfax County office? 
OBXtek headquarters is in Tysons Corner.  Our executive management, security, finance, human resources, and recruiting personnel are located in the office and provide oversight and support to our projects and personnel throughout the U.S. 

Who are your primary customers? 
The Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies such as the departments of Labor, State, Veterans Affairs, Transportation and Agriculture, the General Services Administration , the Social Security Administration, and the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force.

The major factor that sets OBXtek apart from our competitors is the quality and professionalism of our employees who are tops  in their respective fields. We also have an excellent quality assurance process that constantly monitors our day to day project performance and delivers results to our customers.

What direction do you see your company/organization heading in the next five years? 
OBXtek will continue to expand organically by continuing our aggressive pursuit of government contracts within our core competencies while actively looking for possible corporate acquisitions.
