The FCEDA provides business-counseling and mentoring services through an arrangement with SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. SCORE is a nationwide, non-profit volunteer association with over 12,000 retired and active business owners and executives. SCORE provides one-on-one counseling and mentoring, low-cost business-related workshops and FREE house calls to your business location to conduct business reviews. The Washington, D.C., area chapter has over 50 expert volunteer members to assist you.
Mentors are available in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
A SCORE mentor is available, by appointment only, every Wednesday and Thursday at the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority office in Tysons, Virginia. Appointments are for one hour and must be scheduled in advance.
To request a meeting with a SCORE mentor at the FCEDA office, please call 703-790-0600 or look online at www.washingtondc.score.org.
If you are unable to make your appointment with the SCORE mentor, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel.
