2019 Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards

Honor your best supporters at Volunteer Fairfax’s annual county-wide volunteer recognition event.

Established in 1993, the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards serve as a community-wide celebration of volunteerism. The awards honor individuals, groups and organizations that have given outstanding volunteer service through a broad range of activities and programs.

Nominees will be recognized in three distinct award categories, namely – competitive, benchmark and community champions. The event, themed “Volunteering, It’s Personal”, will be hosted by Fox5 Anchor Tisha Lewis. We anticipate that approximately 450 guests will attend the breakfast ceremony being held at the Waterford at Springfield (6715 Commerce St, Springfield, VA 22150). Doors open at 7:15 am for networking, event begins promptly at 8:00 am.

Members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will be on hand to present awards to the winners and serve as honorary chairs for the event. In addition, at the event, Chairman Bulova will proclaim Wednesday, April 24, 2019 as “Volunteer Recognition Day,” to highlight the invaluable service to the community by individual volunteers, volunteer programs, civic associations, schools and corporate groups.
