FCEDA’s Gordon hails United’s announcement that it will begin air service between Dulles and Tel Aviv

Fairfax County, Virginia — Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA), had this to say regarding United Airlines’ announcement that it will begin nonstop service between Washington Dulles International Airport and Ben Gurion Airport, servicing Tel Aviv, Israel, in May, 2019:

“A direct flight from Dulles to Tel Aviv helps not only the business and residential communities in this region, but it also will enable the FCEDA office in Tel Aviv to be more successful in sending Israeli companies to our county. Israeli businesses have world-class technologies that are appropriate for this marketplace. Fairfax County’s office in Tel Aviv has had considerable success in helping bring Israeli companies to Fairfax County and this will greatly accelerate that effort.”

The FCEDA has had permanent representation in Tel Aviv since 2005 to work with Israeli companies interested in expanding in the U.S. market.

The new flight will be the first to be operated by a U.S. carrier between the two cities. United’s new service between Washington Dulles and Tel Aviv will also offer connections to nearly 70 destinations in the United States.
