Fairfax County, Virginia, October 16, 2019 – The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), a longtime ally of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA), today announced that its president and CEO of 22 years, Bobbie Kilberg, will retire on June 30, 2020.

Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the FCEDA, issued the following statement about Kilberg:

“No one has done as much as Bobbie to knit the regional technology community together,” Hoskins said. “By convening the tech community in so many ways over so many years, she really has helped raise the profile of Northern Virginia as one of the world’s technology capitals.”

Kilberg is regarded as one of the most powerful women in the Washington region and in the technology community. She has worked to highlight Northern Virginia for its technology acumen and its unique expertise and innovation in diverse areas such as cybersecurity, data centers, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, government IT and telecommunications. Kilberg built the NVTC into one of the nation’s largest technology councils, and was known for building and advancing a collaborative partnership between NVTC members and policymakers at all levels of government.
