Fairfax County, Virginia – Recognizing that the availability of a skilled labor force affects business and economic growth,  the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) will present “Innovative Pipelines for Tech Recruiting” on November 16.

The event, designed for tech recruiters and human resource professionals, will feature representatives from nine innovative workforce programs in the Washington, D.C., area. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Center for Innovative Technology, 2214 Rock Hill Road in Herndon.

These representatives will share information about their unique programs to make tech recruiting and retention easier in a time when the availability of skilled employees can hinder  growth.

“We know that talent development, attraction and retention are some of the most crucial problems that face IT businesses and we want to showcase ways for companies to manage these concerns so they can grow,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the FCEDA.

The Northern Virginia Technology Council, NVTC’s Veterans Employment Initiative and SkillSource Group of Tysons Corner are sponsors of this event.
