Fairfax County, Virginia – For the second consecutive year,Fairfax County companies dominated the list of “Fantastic 50” firms with 19 technology-focused firms recognized for their growth by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber honored the fast-growing companies at a May 2 awards banquet at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly. The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) sponsored the event. The list also is spotlighted by Virginia Business magazine.

This is the 24^thannual iteration of the Fantastic 50 list. To be eligible for recognition, a company must be privately held, headquartered in Virginia, and show revenues between $200,000 and $200 million. Companies were judged on revenue history from 2014 through 2017 with entries verified by professional services firm Dixon Hughes Goodman.

In addition to ranking as the seventh-fastest growing firm overall, World Services LLC, located in the Kingstowne area of Fairfax County, received a Vanguard Award for the highest revenue growth rate among technology firms.

“It’s about our people and our culture,” said Shueyb Ali, World Services, president and CEO after accepting the award. “IT modernization has probably been our biggest (development area). We’re taking our clients’ legacy systems and bringing them to the cloud.”

Also ranking among the top 10 were No.3 B3 Group Inc. of Herndon, No.4 Alpha Omega Integration LLC of Tysons (a Vanguard winner last year) and No. 8 Spatial Front Inc.of Tysons.

Joining the top 25 were No.11 Savan Group (Tysons), No.14 DayBlink Consulting (Tysons),  No.15 Axiologic Solutions LLC(Fairfax), No.20 CVP(Fairfax), No.21 DIGITALSPEC LLC (Fairfax), No.22 Artemis Consulting (Tysons), No.23 Nationwide IT Services (Fairfax).

Other Fairfax County “Fantastic 50” honorees were: No.28 Criterion Systems (Tysons), No. 34 ValidaTek Inc. (Tysons), No.37 TENICA and Associates LLC (Chantilly), No.38 Karsun Solutions (Herndon), No.45 Validation Associates LLC (Herndon), No.47 MicroHealth LLC (Tysons), No.48 Concept Plus LLC (Fairfax), No.49 E3 Federal Solutions/Sentinel (Tysons).

All but one of the firms in the rankings this year were service or IT-related companies, reflecting Virginia’s growth in technology.

“Having 19 companies on the Fantastic 50 list indicates once again that Fairfax County has the kind of workforce and the markets that firms can take advantage of to expand quickly, particularly companies in our key technology sectors,” said Catherine W. Riley, interim president and CEO of the FCEDA. “We appreciate the opportunity to help the Virginia Chamber highlight firms that have chosen to start and grow here.”
